The Perfect Getaway
Welcome to the River Bend Lake House, located on Lake Dunlap where the Guadalupe River and the Comal merge together to form 7 miles of open water. From this rental's back yard, you will see jet skis, boats, wake boarders, and fishing boats. This section of the Guadalupe River is known as Lake Dunlap, a well-kept secret where the Guadalupe River opens up wide for boating activities.
Enjoy relaxing in the shade of the huge Cyprus and pecan trees or bask in the Texas sun while floating in the water of your own backyard. The water level stays constant and is always deep enough for swimming. The river access is level with the backyard, just a few feet from the house, so adults can sit on the porch or under the shade of the Cyprus trees and not worry while small children swim. There are no steep hills or stairs you have to climb to get to the water.
Here you have the best of all worlds. Just a short drive takes you to downtown New Braunfels where you can float the Comal, visit historic Gruene, spend the day at Schlitterbahn or drive up River Road to float the upper Guadalupe. Afterwards, escape from the crowded camp grounds of River Road and the congestion of town to your own peaceful paradise and privacy of your own back yard.
